Others have taken different paths. Taylor Swift became a billionaire largely through music itself, driven by the massive success of her record-breaking Eras Tour, which generated over $2 billion in ticket sales worldwide. On top of that, in May 2025, she announced she had repurchased her recordings from Shamrock Capital, the private equity firm that had acquired them from Scooter Braun in 2020.
